Vast & Wild Spaces
As the sun set, the clouds crashing into the mountains subsided just enough to look like a billowy sea lapping a coastline. Small threads of vapor snaked in and out of nearby canyons, losing their energy as they deposited their moisture. The sun made the tops of the clouds warm and soft, their trophs cold and uninviting. Winds agitated the ever evolving scene, the mountains were almost breathing. Facing one of the most spectacular sunsets I've seen, a lonely bystander to the gargantuan, chaotic meeting of sky and mountain, I was reminded of how small I am.
